Ok, here's a zip file of all the themes so far.

Zip file of 18 mp3's totaling 57mb:
Mediafire
Let me know if there's any problems.

Also:
One new tune is up:
Boss - Exudeus - If it wouldn't fit as a main boss theme then at least it could be used for the Aphotic Forest stage boss. It has that same kind of vibe.

And then there were two.

It worked no problem. I'm listening to the first couple songs right now. Thanks a ton.

Well, I didn't plan on it, but I just listened to every single one. Funny, as much as I love the songs, the ones I find the best are the ones you seem to be Meh about.

I still love "Pan Woods".

The 2 that made me stop and look at the track names so I could remember were "Ice Caverns" and "Desperation".

Some really great songs all around.

Do you actually have a game based around this? You've really captured the moods you're describing.

Two new tunes are up:
Final Encounter - Final boss battle theme. Not sure how to describe it. Catchy, funky, creepy, all rolled into one?
Ending - This one centers around two main themes and builds up as it goes. It's also the longest theme I've written for this project, as would be expected from an extensive ending theme.

Finally got around to recording these two last tunes. So ends this project. I've already started working on part II. Hopefully I'll get those up soon. I think they are some of my best works to date.

Here is a zip file of all the songs for anyone that's interested.

I have a basic premise of it. Most of the themes are written freely as I go and then I just apply the mood I get from it. Kind of backwards from what usually happens, but I'm just considering this as practice. Other times I'll come up with the idea before I write, like with the Final Encounter and Ending themes. I knew they were going to be written specifically for those purposes going into them. Thanks for your comments!

Somebody really should make a game for these.

I guess I forgot to ever comment on how much I love these. My bad! I love them!

Wow, that message really went nowhere didn't it?

Not really. It lets me know that someone else is actually listening to these and enjoying them besides Reivax. :-P Thanks for the comments! :D

I gotta know how you record these. I'd really like to do something like this one day just for fun and these are really professional sounding for a video game theme. I've been meaning to ask, but just forgot.

I'm listening to the last 2 songs now.

You definitely described the final encounter perfectly. That's exactly what it is.

Ooh. Love the flute stuff. You definitely got the sense of victory in the beginning of the song and closed it off perfectly giving that "it's over" feeling.

Great stuff.

In going through this again (after getting the .zip, so they now should register on my Last.FM) I realized just how much these remind me of 32 bit RPGs. Unfortunately, I don't own FFVII or VIII (I borrowed them from friends in the past, that's how I've beaten them).... I've never even played IX now that I think about it. If I remember correctly, I'm stuck on some boss near the end of Legend of Dragoon.... and that's it. I need more games.....

Downloading the big zippamajig now, will edit this once I've finished listening to Mr Kashiwa Daisuke (who I cannot recommend highly enough) and had a chance to listen to them all.

EDIT: Holy SHIT, Jamie. There's not a bad song amongst all of those. Awesome stuff.

Audacity. Check it out, it's free.

Cool, thanks. I don't draw much influence from Playstation games, but that's great if they remind you of them. I also didn't have an RPG type game in mind. Actually, one of my first ever projects from a few years ago revolved around an RPG. I'm thinking about reviving it and possibly submitting my old stuff to the UCA and see what critiques I can learn from.

Thanks again, guys. I really appreciate it. If you like this album, you'll be sure to love the sequel. It has some all around tighter and more colorful compositions, IMO. I'll work on getting them up soon.

I figured you a more Nintendo person anyways, but your dialog themes just absolutely scream Final Fantasy VIII. I also guessed that this wasn't meant for an RPG judging by the names (RPGs don't progress through stages (duh)). But once again, that's what it reminded me of. So even if I missed the mark, I'm still a huge fan, some actually chill me out (kind of a big feat for somebody as metal as myself).

Ahaha, I completely forgot about that. Just for clarification sake. I can see where you're coming from with the misc. themes.

Teaser of my latest composition. ;-)

Now the ones that sound like that remind me of Sonic the Hedgehog. Once again, I'm sure that you weren't aiming for that, but that's what I got.

Just remember that no matter how wrong I am, they are still compliments.

I like to call it "aphotica".
You're right, but I do hold the first Sonic OST in high regard, so I wouldn't be surprised if it has rubbed off on me in some way.

Another teaser. This is for the final stage. We're in space now, so that's why I've been experimenting with those sounds. Now to finish off this epic three part final boss battle.. :D

Here goes. Same deal as before.. I'll put up a few songs at a time and I'll post a zip every second post and one big zip when I'm finished recording all them if you want to wait till then. Also worth noting, Soundclick takes down the quality a notch. I'll try my best to not get any skips this time.. the bane of my existence.

Two new tunes are up:
Stage 1 - Arctic Breeze - This one has a bit of a more "serious" edge to it, but it should still be familiar through its instrumentation. I imagine platforming in an arctic setting with an ocean and some moving glaciers in the background.
Stage 2 - Cloudwork - More of that light, jazzy, poppy, fluffy sound. It sounds like a sequel to Clockwork really.
