That baroque sound is fucking ace, and when it kicks to that upbeat yet still sinister section about 55 seconds in is glorious. I can totally picture this Jester character, your music does a really good job of illustrating him. Sinister and damn right annoying - kinda reminds me of Zorn and Thorn from FFIX except more jolly... and maybe less annoying.
But yeah... ace piece.

Jamie, I listened to the zipped OST yesterday, and I loved it! I'm going to listen over it again and give you some feedback :D

Good stuff, and thanks for the upload!

God dammit, let's get this finished already. I've been procrastinating hard for the past two months.

One new track is up:
Final Boss III - Whoa, since when did things get so serious? Must be one heck of a final form.

In other news, I purchased a new keyboard and acquired some high quality sample libraries, so I've playing around with those for the past month or so. Should be exciting to finally break away from the MIDI synth scene.

Wow, that song's pretty fucking sweet. It's so dark, eerie and atmospheric. Perfect for mega boss fight. Whoa, with a majestic infusion. Me gusta! Excellent tune.

Up until about 1:27 I was thinking that it maybe needed a little something more to change it up and then everything after that resolved that thought instantly. Perfect song for a final battle, indeed.

To record the MIDI's I use Audacity. If you're asking about the MIDI sound itself, I use a Yamaha XG SoftSynth. Lately, I've been messing around with some higher quality VST's. Can't wait to get those up soon.

I've been procrastinating pretty hard lately, but I've been working on getting the last 3 tracks up and then I can put up a full download for anyone interested. I got a lot of projects lined up from this past year, it's just a matter of getting around to it. :(

Three new tunes are up:
Cut Scene~Dialog - Blue - I wasn't originally going to include this since it sounded pretty crappy with just the MIDI synth, so I decided to make a piano arrangement with one of the new sound libraries I've been working with lately.
Cut Scene~Dialog - In the Clouds~So Serene - This is another piano arrangement, this time of a tune from the first OST.
Ending - Kind of has a happy, yet sad undertone to it, if that makes sense. And with that, the project is finally done!

:: Download the whole OST (22 tracks) ::
Mirror

Let me know of any problems. It really shouldn't have taken me this long to get these up, but oh well. The next project hopefully won't take as long!

I waited until the last one was totally finished before I listened to it, and I wanted to do that with this one too. By sheer dumb luck, I wandered into the Recording subforum for the first time in forever, and it just happens to be the day that H!GL2 is finished! My timing is fucking awesome.

Feedback when it's downloaded/listened to.

Alright, finally moving on. I started working on this project at the very beginning of the year till around June. It's based around a fighting style game (a la Street Fighter). Same deal as before, I'll post the 12 tracks in the coming weeks and then put up a zip download for anyone interested. Hope you enjoy.

Two new tunes are up:
Neon Tokyo - I wrote this one shortly after writing the theme for Power Tab Fighter, which I now hate since it was incredibly rushed, so I sought out to write something better. Before I knew it, I got a rush of inspiration to create a full project of fighting style game music. This is something like how I picture the background.
Southern Train Station - It's got kind of a southern-y rock vibe to it. I sort of based it around this picture.

I actually meant to mention something about you finally being able to check it out in the post but I completely forgot! Thanks for taking the time to listen.

Just downloaded that megafun part with those 22 choons or what not.
Anywho, great job Jamie. I kept it on mostly in the background to listen through it all and it's perfect. Makes some good listening and I'd love to hear it in a game. I'm particularly found of the final boss pieces and Moon base is pretty awesome.
Jolly good show, what what old bean.

I too have been listening to it a fair amount in the background. There are some songs, noises, and ideas that really stand out. A lot of great stuff in here, and I'll try and give a thorough review within the next week.

Christ, I'm unreliable ain't I? I managed to forget to even download it in the first place. It's in the process of downloading right now. I promise you'll get feedback from me by tomorrow!
