I've decided to make this thread a general thread for my recordings of UCA songs which I'll update whenever I get a chance to do another one. The list of ones I hope to do is as follows:

Algia - A Perfect Motion
Anything Will Do - Megaton Hammer vs. Volvagia's Fury
Army Of Poes - The End
Artificial Harmony - Only In Memory
Blackwater Demon - Prognosis: Time Warp
Code Grey Arcadia - The Illusions We Believe
Drawchestra - Anthem Of Agony
Drawchestra - Butterflies
Drawchestra - Dazed Reflection (Chilled)
Drawchestra - Make Up For The Let Down
Drawchestra - STEVE The Band/STEVE IRWIN The Man
Elliott Butt - 04: Forgiveness Is Alluring.mid
Freakystyley - The Leaves, O How They Fall
Freakystyley - Flowers In The Attic
Frephen's Paradox - Lost Time
New_Noise - Jet-Powered Magic Carpet (Part One) [roughly]
New_Noise - Soft Lights
Oretoba - Glide
Oretoba - Trance
The Placenta Spelunkers - No Escape
The PTA Forum - This Man And Music
Reivax - Terrace
Reivax - Andi's Song
Starglasses - Backburner
Starglasses - Longing
The Underscores - The Other Side Of Dawn

When I eventually run out of webspace, I've created a SoundClick account for these recordings so I'll upload them there. The address is:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=833979

Finished songs:
(Red = most recent.)

1. Anything Will Do - Megaton Hammer vs Volvagia's Fury (tab)
2. Army Of Poes - The End (tab)
3. Artificial Harmony - Only In Memory (tab)
4. Blackwater Demon - Prognosis: Time Warp (tab)
5. Code Grey Arcadia - The Illusions We Believe (tab)
6. Drawchestra - Dazed Reflection (Chilled) (tab)
7. Drawchestra - Make Up For The Let Down (tab - MP3!)
8. Drawchestra - STEVE The Band - (tab)
9. FreakyStyley - Flowers In The Attic (tab)
10. Frephen's Paradox - Lost Time (tab])
11. New_Noise - Jet-Powered Magic Carpet (Part One)
[Rough!] (tab)
12. New_Noise - Soft Lights (tab)
13. Reivax - Andi's Song (original tab)
14. Reivax - Terrace (Acoustic) (tab)

EDIT: Well, there we go - finally ran out of webspace. What I'm going to have to do now is periodically delete the MP3s that have been up there for the longest time so I can upload the new ones! As a result I've removed all the direct MP3 links other than the latest one, but if you go directly to my FTP you should still be able to find a couple of older recordings available.

Goddamnit, I forgot to change my export settings so the previous MP3 was only 128kbps. Just uploading a 192 version now which should sound a bit better.

Thanks for the kind words! I forgot to say the bass is just MIDI still - I didn't feel up to learning Alex's slap sections, haha.

Holy damn, dood. This sounds amazing! What did you use for the drums? They sound pretty freakin' real!!!

Man, I'm just floored at how this came out. Excellent job!

EDIT:

While, I'm at it, what did you use to record your guitars? What audio interface did you use and what program did you use for your effects and lastly, what program did you use to record?

The drums, as ever, are Acoustica Beatcraft standard ones with some panning, EQ, compression and reverb. Oh, and some lovingly-recorded shaky egg...

My audio interface is an Edirol UA-25, I don't use a program for effects - they're all done on my Pod XT Live - and I use Cakewalk SONAR LE. Glad you like it!

=-o Thanks for sharing! I had never heard this righteous tune till now, and the song is bad ass, and the recording is wow. Great stuff.

Sweet shit, brosely! Man, I really love this stuff. Thanks.

I have to check out Acoustica Beatcraft. I use EZDrummer and it sounds really great but I'm always looking for more options.

So you use the standard Rock kit and apply the EQ, reverb, and comp. in SONAR?

I use various components from the "Dry Studio Set", with all the panning saved as a preset kit, then apply compression (the setting's called "Phatten Drums" or something), EQ (my own setting) and reverb ("Lite 'verb") in the Overall FX section of Beatcraft. I am actually hoping to get my hands on a copy of Drumkit From Hell in the near future, though!

Faaantaaaastic. The fast runs in the solo are really impressive; the fingerings seem kinda weird and jumpy in the tab but it sounds smooth in the recording.

The egg shaker from 1:10 - 1:30 RULES.

hey dude congratulations for the song up there, sounds cool to me even if it is not the genre I much prefer!I actually have a copy of drumkit from hell 2 but I think it is an old version or I can't use it cause you get a keyboard to make drum patterns and it's a bit confusing...

That was totally fuckin cool.

Nice job man. And New Noise, awesome tune. Good writing. 8)

One criticism. That kick is a bit "in my face" at the moment. Tone that down, and it'd be pretty much *there*.
